International Society for Technology in Arthroplasty (ISTA) Congress

The Challenges
Multiple breakout sessions conducted at once; a posters' area and large exhibition out up in 3 separate areas.

There was an enormous interest of industry but limited exhibition space and set-up time.

Worked closely with two independent entities (US Organisers and Local Host Organisation) to ensure that the organisation of the event services was delivered smoothly and on time.

Large number of Doctors registered at the tail end due to the Ramadan period.

First ISTA event held in the Arab World, which posed some challenges with balancing the needs of the US client, LOC targets, delegates’ and industry expectations with the sensitivities of the local customs and procedures.

The Tools
Experienced & multicultural team of people.

Competent set of preferred suppliers (AV, Posters etc.).

Efficient event software enabling online accommodation booking.

Great support from the international and local organisers.

Generous financial contribution from the industry.

The Verdict
A scientific and organisational success that pleased both the international association and local organising committee.

The Results
It was a successful congress and exhibition for the client and the local host from Dubai. According to the industry representatives it was one of the best ISTA meetings held to date.
